NC’s Mahasamiti meeting to begin today



KATHMANDU: A total of 2,105 participants are attending the Nepali Congress (NC) Mahasamiti meeting, which is set to begin at the Sunrise Conference Centre in Godawari, Lalitpur, today.

Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, the party’s chief publicity department, said that all preparations for the conclave had been completed.

Among the participants, 165 are central committee office-bearers and central members, 1,780 are Mahasamiti members representing constituencies from the House of Representatives, 89 are from the Nepali Public Relations Committee, and 69 are from sister organizations.

Furthermore, presidents of the province working committee, the president of the district working committee, and central presidents of sister organizations who are not part of the Mahasamiti are taking part in the conclave, he said.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the meeting.

The gathering will deliberate on various reports endorsed by the party during its recently held central working committee meeting.
