Sudurpaschim Royals reach NPL final defeating Janakpur



KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim Royals have secured a place in the final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) after defeating Janakpur Bolts by 8 wickets in the first qualifier.

Chasing a target of 140 runs, Sudurpaschim Royals comfortably reached 141/2 in 18.3 overs, clinching the win and advancing to the title clash in the inaugural season of the NPL.

Though they lost the toss and were asked to bowl first, the Royals made light work of the chase.

Binod Bhandari, who remained unbeaten, played a key role with the bat, scoring 50 runs off 41 balls, including 3 fours and 3 sixes.

This was Bhandari’s first half-century of the ongoing competition, and his composed innings guided the Royals to the final.
