NEPSE sees minor dip, finance sector gains while life insurance sinks



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 5.60 points on Wednesday, finishing at 2,628.26, following a slight rise the previous day.

The day’s turnover stood at Rs 4.27 billion, with a total of 8,147,320 shares being traded.

Of the 242 listed companies, 149 saw their prices decline, while 81 recorded price increases and 12 remained unchanged.

The Finance sector led the gains, rising by 33.86 points, followed by Trading, which climbed by 24.17 points.

On the other hand, the Life Insurance sector saw the most significant loss, falling by 41.98 points, with Manufacturing down by 22.26 points and Non-Life Insurance dropping by 17.83 points.
