Man killed in tiger attack



NAWALPARSAI: A man was killed by a tiger in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East). Police identified the deceased as 63-year-old Jeeva Bahadur Thing of Laxmitandi, Binayi Triveni rural municipality-1.

He was attacked by the big cat while cutting grass in the forest.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), JC Shah said Thing came under the tiger’s attack when he had gone to mow grass in the Tinchuli buffer zone community forest.

SP Shah said Thing was found dead when a search was mounted for him after getting the information that he came under tiger attack while going for cutting grass with neighbours.

The body has been taken to the Madhyabindu District Hospital Danda for a post-mortem examination.
