Westerly winds impacting weather patterns



KATHMANDU: As of Friday morning, westerly winds are prevailing across the country, with local winds also influencing the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Currently, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy in some parts of the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the rest of the country is experiencing mainly clear conditions.

This afternoon, the hilly areas are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.

In the afternoon, light rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two places in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces.

Tonight, the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki will be partly to mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly clear.

In the bulletin issued by the Division, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces during the night.
