Prachanda slams NC-UML coalition as unholy and malicious

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has emphasized that the groundwork for the campaign to engage with the people has been laid through the process of strengthening and unifying the party.

Prachanda made these remarks during a program held at the party headquarters in Parisdanda, commemorating Ram Briksha Yadav, a central member of Ekta-Kendra who was martyred in 2051 BS.

In his address, Prachanda highlighted Yadav’s significant contributions to the Madhesh area in laying the foundation for the “people’s war”.

Chairman Prachanda also affirmed the Maoist Center’s commitment to fortifying its struggle to protect the people’s issues.

He voiced concerns about the potential erosion of people’s rights, stating, “There are doubts about whether people’s issues will be compromised, and questions are being raised. There is no alternative but to engage with the people to defend their issues. We must continue our struggle both in the Parliament and on the streets.”

Prachanda criticized the formation of a new opposition alliance, deeming it “unholy” and malicious.

He reiterated that the party has made significant progress in strengthening itself and remains focused on fortifying its position.

He further assured that open and serious discussions are ongoing within the standing committee, and a systematic program and action plan will be developed in the upcoming central committee meeting.
