Monsoon winds continue to impact Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the country is still under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough positioned around its usual location.

Currently, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is observed in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with scattered showers in other provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, with scaterred rain in Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a chance of heavy rainfall in isolated locations within Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the sky will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is forecasted for various places in all provinces.

The Division has also indicated a possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
