KATHMANDU: Construction work on the ‘flyover’ linking Balambu to the Sisnekhola tunnel near Kathmandu is progressing.

The ‘flyover’ project at Balambu, aimed at seamlessly connecting to Tribhuvan Rajpath, has picked up considerable pace.

The necessity for the ‘flyover’ arises from potential traffic congestion when vehicles transition from the highway to the tunnel.

According to Govinda Dumru, Deputy Project Director of the Nagadhunga-Sisne River Tunnel Construction Project, vehicles are expected to start using the tunnel within the next year.

The ‘flyover’ will span 128 meters in length and 7 meters in width.

It is anticipated to be operational alongside the Nagadhunga-Sisne river tunnel within a year.
