One dead after truck hits scooter in Balkumari

LALITPUR: A 35-year-old man died when a truck hit a scooter in Balkumari last night.

The police stated that the scooter rider was killed when the truck (Pradesh 02-3-0010 Kha 5357), heading towards Gwarko from Koteshwor, hit the scooter, numbered Ba 83 Pa 8178, heading in the same direction.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Ramesh Kumar Pandey from Sindhuli, currently residing in Bhaktapur’s Balkot, police said.

Pandey, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately rushed to B&B Hospital for treatment but died during the treatment.

Following the accident, the truck driver, Bishal Rai of Dhading, has been arrested by the police.
