Unified Socialist leader Sodari vying for CM post in Sudurpaschim Province

KATHMANDU: Dhirga Bahadur Sodari, parliamentary party leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Sudurpaschim Province, is poised to claim the Chief Minister (CM) post.

Sodari has garnered support from CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, and one independent lawmaker.

Initially opposed by CPN-UML, Sodari now enjoys their backing to sustain the alliance at the federal level.

However, the faction led by Resham Chaudhary within the Nagarik Unmukti Party has declared opposition to Sodari’s candidacy.

With the backing of these parties, Sodari is expected to secure the necessary majority to stake his claim on the post.
