POKHARA: Eight Chinese tourists sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred in Pokhara this morning.

Chief Superintendent of Police Mohan Kumar Thapa said that eight out of the 13 Chinese tourists aboard a microbus were injured when it collided with a Scorpio vehicle at Rastra Bank Chowk in Pokhara.

The Scorpio with registration number BA 13 Cha 513, traveling from Ratnachowk to Damside, collided with a microbus with registration number BA 1 Pa 851, heading from Lakeside to Mustang Chowk.

Kaski Police stated that the injured tourists are receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical College, where they are all in stable condition.

Additionally, a shop suffered damage as the Scorpio veered out of control.

Both vehicle drivers have been detained by the authorities.
