Light rain with thunder and lightning expected today

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has forecasted the possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some hilly areas of Koshi Province and a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The Division has also reported that Nepal is currently experiencing a partial effect of western and local winds.

According to the Division, light rain is occurring in one or two places in the Gandaki Province, with partial rain in the country’s hilly areas.

The rest of the territory remains clear.

This afternoon, hilly areas including Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces will enjoy clear weather, while other areas will be partly cloudy.

Lumbini and parts of the Terai in the Sudurpaschim Province may experience windy conditions, according to the Division.

In high hills and Himalayan areas, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places.

Tonight, the weather will stay clear in the hilly areas of the country, including Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In a few places within the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions, snowfall is also possible.
