Election symbols allocated to 20 parties for by-election



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has allocated election symbols to 20 political parties gearing up for the forthcoming by-election in Illam and Bajhang districts.

The by-election for a House of Representatives (HoR) seat in Illam-2 and a Provincial Assembly seat in Bajhang-1 is slated for April 27.

In Illam district, 20 parties are vying for participation in the by-election, while in Bajhang, 19 parties are in the fray.

The allocation of election symbols marks a significant step in the electoral process, facilitating the identification of parties and candidates for voters ahead of the polls.
