Local winds to have partial influence in today’s weather

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of the western low-pressure system and local winds in Nepal.

According to the Division, the weather across most of the country will remain mostly clear, while hilly regions will experience partial cloud cover.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be predominantly clear in hilly areas, including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There’s a chance of light snowfall in select high-altitude and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to mostly clear with a possibility of light snowfall in isolated areas of the Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim regions.

Given the potential for light snowfall in the highlands and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, the Division has advised taking necessary precautions.

This includes potential impacts on daily activities such as agriculture, health, tourism, and mountain climbing, as well as road and air transport in these areas.
