PM Dahal asserts unyielding commitment to anti-corruption drive

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, addressing concerns about the pace of corruption investigations, said, “I am not afraid of losing the chair.”

His statement came during the ‘question and answer with MPs’ session in the House of Representatives on Thursday.

Lawmaker Ganesh Parajuli from the Rastriya Swatantra Party expressed apprehensions that investigations into prominent figures involved in corruption were stalling due to fears of political instability.

In response, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized his commitment to upholding good governance and tackling corruption.

Highlighting his dedication to combating corruption, Pm Dahal affirmed, “If there was fear that I would be toppled, the investigation would not have started. That is why we have opened several corruption files.”

In essence, the Prime Minister expressed unwavering determination to address corruption issues, asserting that the government’s commitment to good governance outweighs any concerns about political stability.
