PM Dahal commits to separate provision for Tharu Community in civil service

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to introduce a separate provision for the Tharu Community in the Civil Service.

During a parliamentary session, PM Dahal responded to lawmaker Kalpana Chaudhary Tharu’s queries, stating, “The government will soon propose a Civil Service Bill with reserved seats for the Tharu Community.”

Furthermore, PM Dahal informed the assembly that similar provisions have already been included in the National Education Bill, currently under consideration in the House of Representatives (HoR).

These provisions will also be incorporated into the forthcoming Civil Service Bill.

The federal parliament session is currently in progress, with PM Dahal addressing the questions raised by lawmakers.
