Fatal Jeep accident leaves one dead and seven injured in Tanahu



KATHMANDU: Tragedy struck on the Prithvi Highway road section in Abu Khaireni Rural Municipality-2 last night as one person lost their life and seven others sustained injuries in a jeep accident.

The jeep (Ba 16 Cha 4918), traveling from Abu Khaireni to Dumre, tragically lost control, resulting in the accident.

The victim has been identified as Sagar Gurung, aged 22, hailing from Ichha Kamana Rural Municipality-6 in Chitwan district, as confirmed by the District Police Office of Tanahu.

Despite efforts, Sagar Gurung succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a Medical College in Chitwan.

Additionally, Dambar Bahadur Gurung (22), Kamal Gurung (24), and Rudra Bahadur Chepang (46), all from Ichha Kamana Rural Municipality-5, Rupak Gurung (19) from Ichha Kamana Rural Municipality-6, Test Bahadur Gurung from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, and Purna Gurung (30) from Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3 of Gorkha, were among those injured in the accident. Currently, they are receiving medical care at the Old Medical College in Chitwan.
