Three arrested for demanding ransom

CHITWAN: Three persons have been arrested on the charge of demanding Rs 1.5 million in ransom, issuing life threat to the victim.

Police arrested Saroj Sunar, 27, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-21, Deepak BK, 26, of ward no 1 and Sagar BK, 25, of ward no 26.

They had been threatening Karan Gupta of Rupandehi district, currently doing business at Bharatpur Metropolis-1, using an Ncell number.

Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shreeram Bhandari said investigation into the case was underway.
