CPN-Unified Socialist to announce leader roles and action plan following week-long meeting

KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee meeting of the CPN-Unified Socialist continues today at the party’s central office in Aloknagar, where key decisions on leadership assignments and party strategies are expected.

The meeting, which began on December 11, has concluded discussions and responses from members, but the allocation of responsibilities for office bearers and central members remains pending.

General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal stated that today’s meeting will finalize the division of work for the party leaders. He also informed that the “Building a Party through Movement” action plan was approved during Monday’s session.

The meeting is set to address issues like strengthening the party, preparing for upcoming elections, and tackling political and geopolitical challenges.

Spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada confirmed that the party sees no possibility of uniting with other communist parties but remains open to cooperation on national agendas.

He said that the party’s focus is on establishing the Unified Socialist Party as a strong competitor in future elections and promoting candidates nationwide.
