PM’s Disaster Relief Fund accumulates over Rs 1.74 billion

KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister (PM) Natural Disaster Relief Fund has received over Rs 1.74 billion as of October 16, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

This amount has been gathered to support survivors of natural disasters.

Contributions to the fund have come from both institutional and individual donors.

On October 16, ten organized institutions and individual donor Bidyadhar Mallik made significant contributions.

Notably, the Salt Trading Corporation donated Rs 6.1 million, the Non-Resident Nepali Association contributed Rs 5.1 million, and Rastriya Samachar Samiti added Rs 326,038 to the fund.

Additionally, organizations such as the Nepal Police Wives Association, Nepal Insurance Company, and Electricity Generation Company have also contributed to the relief efforts.
