PM Oli stresses the need for effective implementation of laws

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the importance of social awareness and the promotion of moral values for the effective implementation of the constitution and laws.

Speaking at a program organized by the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs on Saturday, PM Oli stated that agencies responsible for investigation, prosecution, and justice delivery must be fair and accountable.

Highlighting Nepal’s progress in the area of justice delivery, PM Oli noted that the country is leading South Asia in law-making.

“We aim to develop and govern Nepali society as a just society. The constitution and laws are crafted in alignment with the conscience and cultural values of our society,” he said.

The Prime Minister stressed that civic consciousness is crucial for the society to regard the constitution and laws as guiding principles. Without this, he warned, disorder could arise.

Oli also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the implementation of laws.
