Madhes Province announces financial assistance for Simaltal landslide victims



DHANUSHA: The Madhes Province government will provide relief assistance to the families of those killed in the Simaltal landslide bus accident in Chitwan on July 12.

The province government will offer financial support of Rs 100,000 per family of the accident victims.

Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh announced this assistance for the families from the province affected by the Simaltal incident, in which a landslide swept two passenger buses into the Trishuli River.

“We have announced relief for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. The Office of the Chief Minister has already declared this,” Chief Minister Singh stated.

According to him, the financial assistance will be provided to the victims’ families based on the recommendation of the Chief District Officer.
