The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police arrested the Chinese from Kapan on Sunday.

He had obtained Nepali citizenship under the name Sonam Gurung.

Police have initiated an investigation into how he acquired the citizenship.

He is reportedly a member of a smuggling ring that conceals gold in various items to transport it through airports.
