PM Dahal refutes reports of replacing the IGP

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has refuted reports suggesting that the government is preparing to change the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Speaking with media personnel at Bharatpur Airport today, Prime Minister Dahal said, “This is just a rumor,” and added that he had recently summoned the chiefs of security bodies, urging them to work confidently.

In a different context, Prime Minister Dahal asserted that the government’s policies and programs for the new fiscal year are in the interests of the citizens and Nepal.

“The budget is satisfactory. I hope it will be endorsed by the House of Representatives smoothly,” he said.

The Prime Minister claimed that the budget highlights several government initiatives for good governance, social justice, and prosperity.

“I feel that more initiatives are needed to meet the people’s aspirations,” he added.
