KATHMANDU: Leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane of the Nepali national cricket team has crossed the milestone of 100 wickets in T20Is.
During the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in the West Indies, he achieved this milestone by taking Ali’s wicket from Bangladesh on the third ball of the 16th over.
Sandeep is the second-fastest player in the world to take 100 wickets in T20Is.
Earlier, Rashid Khan reached 100 wickets in 53 matches, while Sandeep completed this record in his 54th match.
Sandeep is also the first player to take 100 wickets for Nepal.
Earlier in the match, Sandeep gave Nepal their seventh success by bowling out Tanjim Al Hasan for 3 runs on the second ball of the 14th over.
After Nepal won the toss and decided to field at the Arnos Vale Stadium in St. Vincent, West Indies.
