Nepali Congress holding Parliamentary Party meeting today

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, is holding a meeting of its Parliamentary Party today.

The party has planned the meeting of its parliamentary party working committee at 8:30 am, followed by a parliamentary party meeting at 9 am.

The purpose of the meeting is to unify the party’s stance regarding the ongoing impasse and disputes with the CPN-UML arising from the recent parliamentary session where lawmakers from both parties engaged in a scuffle.

The Nepali Congress has persistently demanded the establishment of a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in a cooperative fraud case.

However, consensus between the opposition and ruling parties on this matter remains elusive.
