KATHMANDU: Mrs. Sukriti Paudel Bhusal, the wife of Swami Sheetal Krishna Maharaj, a renowned Bhagwadkatha narrator, convened a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday, accusing him of treating her unjustly.

According to Bhusal, after three years of marriage and spending time together, she endured mental anguish at the hands of Swami Maharaj.

“Ironically, the man who teaches others about spiritual and pure living has betrayed and left me helpless by announcing his intention to divorce,” she expressed during the program on Sunday, further stating, “To abandon the sacred marital bond, sworn to last for many lifetimes, and mistreat one’s wife, especially by a man preaching spiritual teachings, is a mockery of religion itself.”
