CIAA files corruption case against 24 individuals, including forest officials

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 24 individuals, including former Divisional Forest Officer Hemant Prasad Sah, in Mahottari.

CIAA lodged the case against Officer Sah and 23 others, accusing them of causing damage and embezzlement of government property amounting to Rs 1,196,695, at the Special Court on Sunday.

CIAA has ramped up its efforts to tackle corruption cases involving government officials and local representatives recently.
