NC leaders, including 22 central members, announce Special Campaign for Vedic Sanatan Hindu State



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leaders including 22 central committee members, have formally announced a Special Campaign for the establishment of Vedic Sanatan Hindu state Nepal on Saturday.

Central Committee member Shankar Bhandari made the official announcement of the campaign in Kathmandu today.

Declaring the campaign on Saturday afternoon, leader Bhandari drew attention towards the party’s commitment to protect the country’s Sanatan Dharma and lead the nation forward protecting the glorious cultural values.

Even though this campaign was formed in 2071 BS under the leadership of Lakshman Ghimire, it is now being reorganized under the leadership of Bhandari.

Earlier, in the central committee meeting of the NC on Friday, 22 leaders, including central member Bhandari, presented a special supplementary proposal urging for the Vedic Sanatan Hindu perspective, including religious freedom, and demanded to be on the side of the establishment of the Sanatan Hindu state.

The signatories encompass central members such as Chandra Bhandari, Dilendra Prasad Badu, Pushpa Bhusal, Devendra Raj Kandel, Prakash Rasaili Snehil, Rangamati Shahi, Vidya Timalsina, Gehendra Giri, Sita Devkota, Arjun Jung Bahadur Singh, Sitakumari, Sarada Paudel, Champa Devi Khadka, and Nagina Yadav.

Additionally, central members Nripa Bahadur Bad, Sanjay Gautam, Bhim Parajuli, Dinesh Koirala, Mukta Kumari Yadav, and Dr. Dila Sangraula have also expressed their support for the Hindu state.

Similarly, NC Bagmati province president Indra Bahadur Baniya and Gandaki province president Shukra Raj Sharma have endorsed the document advocating for the Vedic Sanatan Hindu state with religious freedom.

They presented their concern with 22 signatures to the party president Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday.
