20 injured in bus and truck collision near Malekhu, three in critical condition



KATHMANDU: A tragic road accident occurred this morning at Benighat Rorang rural municipality in Dhading district along the Prithivi highway, leaving around 20 individuals injured, with three reported to be in critical condition.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Santu Lal Prasad Jaiswar, reported that the collision transpired when a bus carrying pilgrims towards Chirwan from Kathmandu collided with a truck traveling in the opposite direction at Benighat Rorang rural municipality-3.

The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at the Highway Community Hospital in Malekhu and the Malekhu Teaching Hospital, as confirmed by Jaiswar.

The bus involved in the accident was carrying approximately thirty pilgrims at the time of the collision.
