KATHMANDU: The Finance Committee meeting of the House of Representatives, scheduled for Monday, was postponed at the last minute due to a lack of quorum.
The Parliament Secretariat confirmed that the meeting did not reach the required attendance due to the low presence of ruling party lawmakers.
The meeting was set to discuss proposed amendments to the Secured Transactions Act 2006, and the Finance Minister’s participation was anticipated.
However, the session has been deferred until further notice due to insufficient attendance.
