4 killed, 12 injured in Dadeldhura bus accident



KATHMANDU: A bus accident in Dadeldhura resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left 12 others injured.

According to DSP Sugandha Shrestha from the District Police Office Dadeldhura, the victims include 45-year-old Jaymati Bohara, 26-year-old Kamala Bohara and her two-day-old baby, as well as 22-year-old Sahadev Bohra, all from the same locality.

The accident occurred around 11:30 PM last night when the bus Na. 8 Kha 1078, traveling from Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur to Purchaundi in Baitadi, fell approximately 300 meters off the road at Amargadhi Municipality-7 Khasrekhan.

There were a total of 17 passengers on board.

Among the 12 injured, two were reported to be in serious condition and have been referred to Dhangadhi for advanced treatment, while the others are receiving care at Dadeldhura Hospital, according to police reports.
