KATHMANDU: A massive flood swept through the Dudh Koshi River in Solukhumbu district on Friday, severely impacting Thame village in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-5.

Chairman Mingma Tsering Sherpa of the Rural Municipality suspects that the flood was caused by a glacier lake burst.

The full extent of the destruction is yet to be assessed.
