Foreign Secretary Lamsal recommended as Nepal’s Ambassador to Belgium



KATHMANDU: Sewa Lamsal, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been recommended for the position of Nepalese Ambassador to Belgium.

The recommendation was made during a cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar last evening.

Lamsal was appointed as the first female Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Additionally, there is speculation that Amrit Rai, the current spokesperson, may serve as the acting Secretary of the Ministry, as he is the most senior Secretary in the Foreign Service.
