NEPSE surges by 70 points on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a significant rise today, increasing by 70.18 points to close at 2310.59 on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

After a decline on Monday following the appointment of the new Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, NEPSE saw a substantial increase today.

Today, 258.36 million shares of 315 companies were traded 119,011 times, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 9.14 billion.

Sindhu Development Bank, Barun Hydro, Green Development Bank, Ankhu Khola Hydropower, and Mandakini Hydro hit positive circuits today.

NEPSE reported that the share prices of all traded companies increased.

In terms of transaction volume, the highest trading was seen in Ngadi Group, with trades worth Rs 217.7 million.
