Two killed, one injured in Sankhuwasabha landslide



KATHMANDU: A landslide at Silichong Rural Municipality-1 in the Sankhuwasabha district has killed two family members and injured another.

The deceased have been identified as 55-year-old Moti Maya Rau and 25-year-old Samikshya Rai, according to Bhupal Raj Mehawahang, Chairman of the Rural Municipality.

“They were buried by the landslide,” said Chair Mehawahang.

Rabina Rai, 29, sustained severe injuries and is being airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, according to Dhurba Bahadur Khadka, Chief District Officer.
