Agreement likely by 4 pm deadline: Maoist lawmaker Dahal

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center lawmaker Lekhnath Dahal claimed that an agreement will be reached between political leaders by 4 pm today.

He disclosed that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda held discussions with the main opposition party Nepali Congress.

Conversations have also taken place with key figures from coalition partners, he said.

Speaking to journalists outside the Federal Parliament building on Thursday afternoon, Dahal said, “We will have an agreement by 4 o’clock.”

Moreover, he cautioned against targeting Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane alone, stressing the government’s commitment to addressing the issues faced by distressed cooperatives.

He emphasized that anyone implicated on the case would be subject to legal consequences.
