KATHMANDU: The Gold Smuggling Probe Commission has proposed that the government acknowledge the significant contributions of two officials in the gold smuggling case investigation.
Deputy Director Santosh Poudel has been singled out for his instrumental role in the investigation.
Over a span of 18 days, Poudel played a pivotal part in the arrest of 21 individuals, conducted raids at 11 locations, and successfully tracked the whereabouts of fugitives, among other critical tasks.
Similarly, the commission has recommended recognition for computer operator Dhanraj Budha.
Budha’s unwavering commitment to the investigation, providing round-the-clock support to the commission, has been highlighted as deserving of commendation.
