PM Dahal stresses mandatory implementation of earthquake-resilient infrastructures

PM Dahal emphasized that constructing earthquake-resilient structures is not just a desire but a mandatory obligation. He highlighted the significance of holding awareness and resolution programs annually on Earthquake Safety Day, commemorating the devastating earthquake of 1990 BS.

Lamjung youth serving in Russian Army passes away in Russia-Ukraine War

A young man from Lamjung, enlisted in the Russian army for deployment in the Russia-Ukraine war, has tragically passed away. According to information provided by Dudhpokhari-1 Ward Chairman Durgaman Gurung, the demise of 32-year-old Sajan Gurung in the Russia-Ukraine war has been confirmed. The family received the news of Sajan’s death, who had joined the Russian army for employment, just five days ago, as shared by the Ward Chairman.

Nepal to present NVR report on SDGS to UN body by July

Nepal will be presenting a report on its progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, in the United Nations. The report to be prepared through the voluntary national review (VNR) on SDGs is to be presented by coming July.

Over NPR 22 billion committed in DFI in first six months of current fiscal year

In the initial six months of the current fiscal year 2080/81, commitments for direct foreign investment (DFI) amounting to NPR 22.33 billion have been secured, according to data from the Ministry of Industry. The Ministry reports that during this period, the Ministry has received a total of 226 industrial and business establishments commitments. Among these, NPR 22.33 billion has been committed for various foreign investment projects.

Prime Minister Dahal directs resolution of BPKIHS problems

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has instructed the Health Minister and high-ranking officials to intervene and resolve the ongoing conflict at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan. Prime Minister Dahal summoned Health and Population Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, along with other officials, directing them to address the issues raised by teachers, staff, and doctors at BPKIHS.

88 movies from 40 countries to be screened in 7th NIFF

The 7th edition of Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) is going to be held in Kathmandu from coming March 14 to 18. In a press meet held here today, NFCA Chairperson KP Pathak shared that event will show 88 movies from 40 countries. The Nepal Film and Culture Academy (NFCA) is the organizer of the film festival.
