One killed in truck accident



DAMAULI: One person died in a truck accident at Bimalnagar in Bandipur Rural Municipality along the Prithvi Highway in Tanahun last evening.

The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Khud Bahadur Thapa of Gorkha, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun.

The accident occurred when a truck carrying gas cylinders, en route to Aanbukhaireni from Damauli, struck him while he was crossing the road.

He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Damauli, where he was declared dead, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK.

Police have taken the truck and its driver into custody for further investigation.
