KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has called on the entire party to unite and actively work towards bringing positive change in the lives of the people.

He made this statement while addressing a two-day national workshop titled ‘Problems of Party’s Work at the Local Level and Solutions’, organized by the UML Central Organization Department at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, today.

In his address, PM and Party Chair Oli urged the party’s leaders and workers, as members of an organization founded for the people and the nation, to be actively involved in the national campaign aimed at improving people’s living standards.

Drawing on the experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and its success in rapid economic development, Chairman Oli emphasized that the UML needs to unite in its efforts to bring about positive change in the lives of the people.

He stressed the importance of maintaining ideological clarity and unity within the party, ensuring that it remains focused on the journey toward socialism. He also highlighted the need for the workshop participants to carry this message to the masses.

Referring to the CPC’s rise to power from humble beginnings, and how China has transformed into an economic superpower, Chairman Oli reminded that in China, there is no opposition to the party leadership.

He pointed out that China embarked on its own path of socialism without merely copying other socialist nations. Similarly, Oli stated that Nepal’s UML is also progressing towards the goal of socialism.

“Our party was founded not just for political purposes. It was established to develop the country and bring positive change, carrying the ideals of socialism and nationalism. From the very beginning, it has been working to improve the social condition,” said Oli.
