Gold price sees slight increase after two weeks of decline

KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which has been on a downward trend for the past five days, saw a slight increase today (Friday).

After dropping by 2,400 rupees to 160,000 rupees on Wednesday, the price of gold rose by Rs 100 today.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Federation, gold is being traded at 160,100 rupees per tola today. The price of gold had fallen by 2,200 rupees yesterday.

On October 31, gold reached its highest price so far, hitting a record of 171,000 rupees per tola.

Since then, however, the price has been steadily falling, losing 11,000 rupees over the past two weeks.

Today, silver also saw a slight increase, rising by 5 rupees. The price of silver, which was 1,950 rupees per tola yesterday, has now risen to 1,900 rupees.
