NEPSE rises by 31.48 points following Dashain



KATHMANDU: Today marked the first trading session on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) after the Dashain festival, with the NEPSE index closing at 2,699.66 points.

This reflects a significant increase of 31.48 points, or 1.17%, from the previous day’s close.

Prior to the festival break, the market had also experienced a slight rise of 4.85 points.

The trading session began with the index opening at 2,668.08, reaching an intraday low of 2,667.82 and a high of 2,700.23.

In total, 307 stocks were traded through 35,648 transactions, resulting in the exchange of 6,417,267 shares and a total turnover of Rs. 3.06 billion.

The market capitalization reached Rs. 4.29 trillion, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 1.51 trillion.
