KATHMANDU: The temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has dropped to 15 degrees Celsius as of today (October 15).
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning.
This marks a decrease from Monday’s minimum of 17.2 degrees Celsius, indicating a drop of more than 2 degrees Celsius within 24 hours.
Notably, on Sunday, the minimum temperature was even lower, at 14.7 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologist Bishnu Ghimire from the Weather Forecast Division noted that temperatures are gradually declining across the country following the end of the monsoon season and the onset of post-monsoon conditions.
Meteorologists define the highest temperature in a 24-hour period as the maximum temperature, while the lowest is referred to as the minimum temperature.
Typically, the minimum temperature is recorded at 8:45 a.m., and the maximum is measured at 5:45 p.m. each day.
