Earthquake jolts Taplejung



TAPLEJUNG: An earthquake struck Taplejung, an eastern hilly district, late last night.

Dr. Lok Vijay Adhikari, a senior seismologist at the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, reported that at 12:08 AM, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake occurred near Lhonak in Taplejung district.

The tremor was also felt in the surrounding districts.

In the aftermath of the quake, residents were seen evacuating their homes in fear.
