KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed ministers and secretaries to prioritize plans that will spark a wave of development across the country.

He emphasized the need for concrete, record-setting initiatives that address the people’s needs and drive progress.

During a meeting held at his office in Singha Durbar on Thursday, PM Oli stressed the importance of systematic planning to meet public demands.

The meeting focused on the annual progress review, the implementation of the current budget and programs, and the government’s key tasks for the next 100 days.

PM Oli highlighted that the national economy could be revitalized if development expenditures are fully utilized.

“We are not just employees; we are working for the service and development of the people and future generations. This work transcends mere paid employment,” he stated.

He urged officials to set realistic yet ambitious goals, emphasizing that the time has come to surpass previous efforts within the next three months.

“Don’t fear the anti-graft body when addressing challenges and setting development plans. As long as you avoid corruption, there is nothing to worry about,” he reassured the senior government officials.

The Prime Minister also directed the effective implementation of the Digital Nepal Framework, the provision of safe goods and food for the public, vocational training, agricultural tools, and other essential resources for farmers.

Ministers and secretaries were also reminded to prioritize information technology, resolve inter-ministerial issues within three months, create jobs and support entrepreneurship, transform the Prime Minister’s employment program, and promote maternal and child health.
