NEPSE index surpasses 3,000 points, records historic Rs 29.96 billion turnover



KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index achieved a significant milestone today, surpassing the 3,000-point mark, a key psychological threshold.

The index closed at 3,000.81 points, registering a substantial gain of 1.45% or 43.05 points.

The day also marked a historic achievement in terms of trading volume, with NEPSE recording a turnover of Rs 29.96 billion.

The trading session was highly active, with 334 stocks traded across 311,536 transactions.

A total of 68,980,346 shares were traded during the session.

In terms of share value movements, 105 companies saw an increase, 137 companies experienced a decrease, and one company’s share value remained unchanged.

The commercial banks group recorded the highest percentage growth, while the finance group saw the steepest decline.
