UML Chair Oli calls for review of FY 2024/25 budget

KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has called for a review of the budget allocation for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/25.

Addressing the CPN (UML) parliamentary party meeting in the Federal Parliament building today, Oli expressed reservations about the budget allocations for the ministries headed by UML leaders.

Oli argued that the UML joined the government to uplift the country from poverty, emphasizing the need for a budget review.

He stated that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) should be met within five years and that productivity should be increased to expedite development and alleviate poverty.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of promoting technology for entrepreneurship development to turn the nation’s development commitments into reality.

Oli also claimed that reactionaries were attempting to weaken the UML by spreading false rumors, urging the party to move forward and overcome these challenges.
