Koshi Province unveils Rs 35.27 billion budget for FY 2024/25



KATHMANDU: Koshi Province has unveiled a budget of Rs 35.27 billion for the fiscal year 2024/25.

Finance Minister Ram Bahadur Magar presented the budget during the provincial assembly meeting on Saturday.

The new budget is nearly Rs 1 billion less than that of the current fiscal year.

According to the budget, Rs 14.47 billion has been allocated for recurring expenditures and Rs 16.20 billion for capital expenditures.

The sector-wise allocation of the budget is as follows:

Infrastructure: Rs 10.41 billion

Agriculture: Rs 2.67 billion

Drinking Water: Rs 4.76 billion

Health: Rs 3.58 billion

Social Sector: Rs 1.58 billion

Tourism, Forest, and Environment: Rs 2.82 billion

Security, Communication, and Information: Rs 1.03 billion
