Koshi provincial govt announces financial aid for flood and landslide victims



KATHMANDU: The Koshi provincial government has decided to provide Rs 300,000 to the victims of the Taplejung landslide.

This decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held on Saturday.

Following incessant rainfall, a landslide swept away a house, resulting in the deaths of four people.

The victims were members of the same family in Phattanglung Rural Municipality-2, Tingdu of Taplejung.

The deceased include 70-year-old Ram Bahadur Limbu, his 50-year-old wife Jammaya, and their 12-year-old twin daughters, Ganga and Jamuna.
